Watercolor paintings should be kept from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures and humidity. Over time, the paper will deteriorate if introduced to extreme temperatures and moisture. Even with a frosted or light difused glass, the direct sunlight may cause certain colors to fade. Watercolors should be matted and protected by a glass sheet in the frame.

Painted 'en plein aire' [on site]; An absolutely breath taking site as the hot molten lava crept to the ocean. Hot air and mist could be seen rising above the spectacular event. Even though we visited the same site in the day light hours, it could not be matched by the sight at night.
